Marcus Thomas arrested for Ye-Yo.

By Christopher Hart

For ye-yo, not weed.

It’ll be interested to see how this unfolds, as the story indicates – he was not in possession of it, but was a passenger in the car in which it was in. Considering Denver drafted him as his last hope, it’s quite possible that Denver could release him for such an incident, leaving their pickle at defensive tackle even bigger. Not only that, but the League won’t take this too kindly either, regardless of the outcome. A few posters have been saying, “He’s innocent until proven guilty.” — but that’s not going to stop the possibility of draft picks being taken away due to consistent poor behavior and arrests by Broncos players. This is serious business.

Brace yourselves for the inevitable lie detector test as well folks, and enjoy the Photoshop. It might make you all laugh, but the reality is that the Broncos are in a predicament now. In the words of Mike Shanahan, “We will have to let due process take it’s course.”

Update:  The Denver Broncos have released a statement regarding Thomas’ situation

“The Denver Broncos are aware that Marcus Thomas is under investigation for possession of cocaine and was a passenger in a vehicle where cocaine was found. The owner/operator of the vehicle has since admitted the cocaine was his and no cocaine was ever found on Marcus Thomas. Within hours of his release, Marcus had a test which confirmed that there was no cocaine in his system. The Broncos are hopeful that no charges will be filed, and we are monitoring the situation as it goes forward.”
