Broncos out of Rogers sweepstakes.

According to the Rocky Mountain News, the Denver Broncos are no longer in the Shaun Rogers sweepstakes.    Thank God.

Rogers to Denver a virtual lock?

According to the Rocky Mountain News, the Broncos have been in extensive trade talks for defensive tackle Shaun Rogers, and it’s expected that a finalized deal could come as early as tonight or Tuesday. I don’t know how much stock to put into this report, but John Clayton from ESPN mentioned that the Broncos are severely interested in his services as well. Even if a deal in theory is worked out, it cannot be submitted and approved until this Friday.

Cowboys interested in Walker?

PFT is reporting that the Dallas Cowboys are also interested in disgruntled wideout Javon Walker. With three teams being listed as interested in Walker, I’d find it hard to believe that the Broncos won’t be able to get something out of him. One thing to keep in mind is that Denver virtually has no leverage in any trade scenario involving Walker, and that the other team holds all the bargaining chips. My advice to the Broncos Brass, take what you can get and run with it. Now is not the time to be greedy.
